How We Think About Support
The starting point at Fook Yuen is always the person, not the package. Before recommending any arrangement, we have a conversation — about daily habits, what matters, what the family needs to feel settled, and what would make the resident feel at home.
From that conversation, one of three plans tends to emerge as the natural fit. Some residents want light, occasional assistance and otherwise prefer full independence. Others are looking for a complete arrangement that takes care of every practical aspect of daily life. Most find something in between.
Every plan can be adjusted after move-in. If circumstances change or preferences shift, we make the change — without formality and without any sense that the resident has disrupted a system.

Daily Living Support
Discreet help with everyday tasks — tidying, laundry, errands, reminders — offered by a familiar host so each day stays easy and unhurried. Residents choose how much or how little support they want, and that can change from week to week.

Excursions & Day Outings

Standards That Apply to Everything We Do
Privacy as a Default
Resident data and personal matters are handled with full discretion. Staff follow a clear privacy protocol and do not discuss residents outside appropriate contexts.
Certified Staff
All team members hold relevant qualifications in elderly care and first aid, in accordance with Hong Kong Social Welfare Department guidelines.
Regular Quality Reviews
We review our services formally twice a year and informally every month — gathering feedback from residents and families to make meaningful improvements.
Accessible Team
Families can reach a member of the team by phone during office hours. Urgent matters outside those hours are handled through an on-call arrangement.
Food That Suits Each Resident
Dietary preferences and requirements are noted at intake and followed consistently. Meals reflect local Hong Kong tastes, with variety across the week.
Mobility-Conscious Environment
The residence is arranged with senior mobility in mind. Common areas, bathrooms and external access points are all designed for ease and safety.
